Most technology consultants have used a phone system. I have designed, built, and deployed them at scale. For years I worked inside the Avaya ecosystem at a depth very few engineers ever reach -- AACC, Experience Portal, Breeze, AES, Avaya IC, Avaya IQ, Lumenvox ASR/TTS, SIP, VoIP, IVR design, workforce management integrations, and the speech recognition layer on top of all of it.
At Inova Health I built the contact center infrastructure that served seven hospital campuses and over 200 clinics. I also built the COVID-19 patient notification platform -- a system that had to work when it absolutely could not fail. Through call center technology and workflow redesign, I helped recover $300,000 per month in collections revenue. That is not a system integration project. That is a business outcome delivered through telecommunications engineering.
Through Avaya Professional Services I deployed contact center platforms for clients including Walgreens, AXA Assistance, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Home Depot, Aflac, and others. Those environments handle millions of calls per year. They are not forgiving of design mistakes.
